Li Chenggui, a native of Wannian, Jiangxi Province, received his B.A. in Philosophy from 1982-1986, M.A. in Philosophy from 1990-1992, and Ph.D. in Philosophy from 2000-2003, from the Department of Philosophy, Nanjing University. He is currently a professor of the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University, a member of the Academic Committee, and the academic leader of the "Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism Governance Thought Research Team", an innovation team of philosophy and social science in Jiangsu Province, and an associate professor in 1996 and a professor in 1999.
