Ping Yanhong, who obtained her PhD degree in religious studies in Japan, is now a postdoctoral fellow and assistant researcher at the Philosophy Department of Nanjing University, and the vice director of the editorial board of The Studies of Buddhist Culture佛教文化研究. Her main research interests are Tang and Song Buddhism, Hua-yan studies, and philological and intellectual history. She has good command of Japanese and English for academic communication and writings, and of Sanskrit and Tibetan for academic research and information searching. In recent years, she has more than 20 high-level academic papers published in China and Japan.
