Liu Huaiyu, male, born in 1965, Zhenping County, Henan Province. He graduated from Zhengzhou University (1985), Renmin University of China (1988), and Nanjing University (2003) with a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in philosophy, respectively. He worked in the Institute of Philosophy of Henan Academy of Social Sciences for a long time after his master's degree, serving as assistant researcher, associate researcher, researcher, and deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy, and was awarded the Outstanding Expert of Henan Province in 2001. 2003, he was transferred to the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University; currently, he is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Philosophy of Nanjing University, deputy director and researcher of the Research Center of Marxist Social Theory at Nanjing University, and adjunct professor and researcher of the School of Marxism of Renmin University of China. He has been the vice president of Marx Engels Philosophical Thought Research Branch of the Chinese Society for the History of Marxist Philosophy since 2018, and the vice president of Marx Engels Textual Literature Research Branch of the Chinese Society for the History of Marxist Philosophy since 2021. Currently, he is mainly engaged in teaching and research work in the direction of the history of Marxist philosophy and Western Marxist political and social theory. His doctoral dissertation, "The Pioneering and Exploration of the Critical Path of Modern Everyday Life - A Study of the Philosophical Thought of Lefebvre", was selected as one of the 100 outstanding doctoral dissertations in 2006.
