 On December 11, 2025, the Double-High Synergy Cooperation Meeting between Nanjing University and Gulou District, Nanjing, was successfully held at the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University. A delegation led by Yu Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Gulou District Committee and Executive Deputy District Head of Nanjing, visited the campus to discuss strategic cooperation and innovation development with the university. Jiang Tian, Assistant President of Nanjing University and Executive Deputy Director of the Suzhou Campus Management Committee, warmly received the delegation and accompanied them on a tour of the Suzhou Campus, providing a brief overview of the campus's development. The meeting was chaired by Gao Yang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Executive Dean of the School.




    Gao Yang, on behalf of the School of Artificial Intelligence, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Gulou High-Tech Zone. He provided a detailed introduction to the school, covering its disciplinary positioning, faculty strength, research achievements, and talent cultivation. He emphasized that the discipline of Artificial Intelligence and Technology is oriented toward applied AI research with a core focus on machine vision, prioritizing five cutting-edge directions in intelligent science: visual intelligence, embodied intelligence, applied intelligence, cognitive intelligence, and hybrid intelligence. Leveraging the comprehensive disciplinary strengths of Nanjing University, the school actively promotes the transformation of research outcomes into new quality productive forces.He further noted that the collaboration between the School of Artificial Intelligence and Gulou High-Tech Zone represents a convergence of strengths and a powerful alliance. Moving forward, the two sides are poised to identify key entry points for in-depth collaboration across numerous fields, including AI technology empowerment, research outcome transformation, and talent cultivation. By continuously deepening their cooperation, they will jointly contribute to serving major national strategies and achieving greater self-reliance and strength in high-level science and technology.




    On behalf of Gulou High-Tech Zone, Yu Jian expressed gratitude to the School of Artificial Intelligence for their warm reception. He stated that the development direction of the School aligns closely with the practical needs of Gulou High-Tech Zone in building a modern industrial system, and that the two sides share broad prospects for cooperation and development in the field of artificial intelligence.He looks forward to further strengthening collaboration and exchanges between both parties in the future, continuously generating new synergies, deepening the integration of research initiatives with industrial upgrading, exploring the application of cutting-edge technologies across diverse fields, and jointly fostering an ecosystem for shared growth.




    Hu Yi, Deputy Director of the AI Initiative Office of Gulou High-Tech Zone and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Gulou State-Owned Assets Group, provided a detailed overview of the artificial intelligence industry ecosystem in Gulou High-Tech Zone, covering aspects such as development potential, policy support, and supporting services. He noted that Gulou District has introduced specialized industrial support policies for artificial intelligence to foster the growth of related industries, and has established four dedicated initiative offices focusing on artificial intelligence, biomedicine, green and low-carbon initiatives, and brain-computer interfaces, specifically tailored to serve these sectors.He expressed his hope that both sides would leverage this exchange as an opportunity to collaborate hand in hand and achieve mutual development.




Faculty members from the School of Artificial Intelligence, including Bing Zhenshan, Wang Shuai, Zeng Zheni, Ren Yuxiang, Fang Yuqi, and Wang Ran, sequentially introduced their research directions and plans for the transformation of research outcomes. Attendees engaged in multidimensional exchanges and discussions centered on the theme of Dual-High Synergy.



The event was also attended by Ni Yahong, Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Gulou District, Nanjing; Zhou Bing, First-Level Investigator of the Management Committee of Gulou High-Tech Zone; Xing Shengsheng, Director of the University Cooperation Division; Qian Xiangsheng, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Office of Nanjing University and Deputy Director of the University Cooperation Division of the Management Committee of Gulou High-Tech Zone; and Wu Junhua, Office Director of the National Institute of Health Data Science at Nanjing University.
