On the afternoon of December 8, 2025, with the aim of further deepening industry-university-research collaboration, a delegation led by Mr. Alexander Schmoeller, Commercial Director of Siemens' Central Research and Predevelopment Department, paid a visit to our institute for an exchange. They were warmly received by Shan Caifeng, Vice President of our institute, and Xu Yan from the Suzhou Campus Office.
Shan Caifeng provided an overview of the school's development in terms of discipline construction, faculty development, and industry-academy cooperation. He particularly highlighted the solid foundation of existing collaboration between the two sides. He expressed his anticipation for deepening the cooperation mechanism and expanding collaborative platforms in multiple areas, including joint research initiatives, commercialization of research outcomes, talent cultivation, and facilitating student internships and employment. The goal is to accelerate the deep integration of the innovation chain with the industrial chain.
During the visit, Mr. Alexander Schmoeller and his delegation, accompanied by Shan Caifeng and Xu Yan, toured the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University. They gained an in-depth understanding of the overall profile of the Suzhou Campus, as well as the development, scientific research, and technology transfer initiatives of our school.
