Thanks to the year-long engagement of John Rabe’s grandson Dr. Thomas Rabe, the legacy of his grandfather lives on in the John Rabe Communication Centre with the ambition of documenting the life of John Rabe and for the communication of international understanding, particularly between China and Japan. The institution also serves various peace projects as a stage.
Since 2009 the John Rabe Communication Centre annually awards the “John Rabe Award” to persons for special services and engagement for world peace, especially between China, Japan and Europe.
