At present, German experts make up a large proportion of the international scholars visiting, lecturing and doing research in Nanjing University. They have made valuable contributions to the cooperation between Nanjing University and the German higher educational circles as well as to the Sino-German friendship.

In July 1999, Vice President of Berlin Free University visited Nanjing University  right: Vice President Hong Yinxing of Nanjing University（current Party Secretary）.

In Dec. 2002, President of Goettingen University paid a visit to Nanjing University (left in the front row: President Jiang Shusheng of Nanjing University).
