Professor Shu Jianzhong comes to the Hopkins-Nanjing Center from the School of History, Nanjing University, where He is a Professor and doctoral supervisor. He received a PhD in history of international relations from the Nanjing University School of History in 2004. He began teaching at the Nanjing University School of History in 2004.

Professor Shu’s research interests cover American diplomatic history, and international institutions. He is an independent author of six academic books, and has published over fifty academic papers in various Chinese periodicals.

Professor Shu has been a part-time professor at the HNC since 2006, and has lectured on International Political Economics.
