On December 20th, a delegation from the Education Department of Johor State, Malaysia, visited the Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University and had in-depth discussions with our university on various cooperation matters such as joint training of outstanding overseas engineers, establishment of joint research funds, and expansion of Chinese language education. Vice President of Nanjing University and Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Zhou Zhihua met with the delegation.

Zhou Zhihua warmly welcomed the delegation's long journey and introduced the school's educational characteristics and international development achievements to the visiting guests. He stated that the university attaches great importance to cooperation and exchanges with renowned universities and research institutions in Malaysia, and hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to work together with the Johor state government and relevant universities to further expand cooperation areas and innovate cooperation models, creating more opportunities for the growth and development of young people in both regions, and contributing to the development of education in both China and Malaysia.

The chairperson of the Education and News Council of Johor State, YB Aznan Bin Tamin, and other members of the delegation, including the president of Multimedia University, Mohd Shafry Bin Mohd Rahim, made speeches successively, introducing the education development plan of Johor State and the academic strengths of universities such as Multimedia University. They stated that the remarkable achievements of Nanyang University in terms of talent cultivation and scientific research innovation are truly impressive. This visit aims to further deepen the existing cooperation between the two sides and promote practical cooperation in academic research, joint training, and exchanges between teachers and students.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the cooperation intentions and reached several consensuses. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Integrated Circuit Laboratory of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering.
The heads of the Internationalization Office, the National Excellent Engineers College, the Overseas Education College, the Education Research Institute, the Integrated Circuit College, and the Computer College, among others, accompanied the meeting.
