Delegation from Springer Nature visits NJU

On October 23, Ms. Carolyn Honour, Chief Commercial Officer of Springer Nature Group, visited Nanjing University. Chen Yunsong, Deputy Chair of NJU CPC Council,met with the delegates on Xianlin Campus.

Chen Yunsong welcomed Ms. Honour and her delegation and reviewed the collaborative achievements between NJU and Springer Nature Group over the years. He pointed out that NJU has always adhered to an open and inclusive academic tradition, emphasizing the exchange and mutual learning between civilizations. He expressed hope that both parties would use this exchange as an opportunity to further expand cooperation in humanities and social sciences while consolidating achievements in science and engineering fields, promoting greater global academic impact for the research outcomes of NJU faculty and students.

Ms. Honour thanked NJU for the warm reception. She introduced Springer Nature Group's development globally and in China, focusing on the new model of open access publishing and transformative agreements, and their effectiveness in promoting international dissemination of research results. She stated that the group will continue to deepen cooperation with NJU and support more high-level achievements to "go global."

During the meeting, Tang Enping, Global President of Springer Nature's Book Business, Juliane Ritt, Chief Marketing Officer, and Zhang Hongwei, Sales Director for China, gave presentations on high-quality academic book publishing, research communication and brand building, and high-level journal cooperation respectively.

This exchange has injected new momentum into practical cooperation between NJU and Springer Nature Group in the field of scientific research publication and dissemination. Both parties will continue to use academic publishing as a bridge to deepen collaborative innovation in science and humanities, jointly promoting international dissemination of high-quality research results and mutual learning among human civilizations.
