On December 15th, Tan Tieniu, Chair of Nanjing University CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to visit China State Construction Engineering Corporation (hereinafter "CSCEC"). Zheng Xuexuan, Party Secretary and Chairman of CSCEC, met with Tan Tieniu and his team. Both parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
Tan Tieniu, on behalf of NJU, expressed gratitude to CSCEC for its strong support in the university's development. He introduced the basic situation of NJU's history and discipline construction. Tan Tieniu pointed out that currently, NJU is committed to accelerating the construction of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, achieving new successes in promoting technological self-reliance, and setting an example in telling China's story. CSCEC has strong comprehensive strength and outstanding professional advantages. Over the years, both parties have established a deep cooperative relationship. Tan Tieniu stated that NJU and CSCEC have broad prospects for cooperation in areas such as ancient city protection and intelligent construction. He hopes both sides can further strengthen practical cooperation, work hand in hand, and jointly create a new situation in university-industry collaboration.
Zheng Xuexuan welcomed Tan Tieniu and his delegation, thanking NJU for its long-standing trust and support for CSCEC. Zheng Xuexuan noted that NJU has a long history and profound heritage, making significant contributions to the development of higher education in China. CSCEC is actively pursuing a path of transformational development, accelerating its construction as a world-class enterprise. The cooperation foundation with NJU is solid and the space is vast. CSCEC will thoroughly implement the measures of the strategic cooperation agreement, deepen technological innovation cooperation by combining CSCEC's advantages with NJU's strengths, enhance efforts in talent cultivation cooperation, actively participate in the construction and operation of NJU's campus, and promote new and greater achievements in the cooperation between both parties.
Suo Wenbin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC NJU Committee and Vice President of NJU, and Shan Guangxiu, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of CSCEC, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as platform construction, talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, and cultural heritage.
Li Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC NJU Committee, Assistant President of NJU, and Director of the General Office of NJU, along with relevant department heads and college leaders from the university and relevant unit heads from CSCEC, attended the meeting.
