On October 15, the championship competition of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition 2025 was held at Zhengzhou University. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, delivered a video speech. Liu Ning, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended the event and delivered a speech. Zhao Yan, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, received the flag on behalf of the host site for the China International College Students' Innovation Competition 2026. Jiang Yong, Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, Yang Shubing, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, and Lu Xiancai,Vice President of Nanjing University, participated in the event. In this competition, NJU teams won 5 gold awards, 2 silver awards, and 3 bronze awards. Additionally, an international project received 1 national silver award. NJU's 7 projects entered the national finals, including 3 main track projects, 1 "Youth Red Dream Journey" project, and 3 industry track projects. Among them, the "BioPilot—Pioneering Intelligent Live Bacterial Robot Tumor Vaccine" project entered the ranking competition and ranked first nationally in the graduate creative group. NJU is one of only four schools nationwide to win gold awards in this competition every year.

This competition was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and 10 other departments together with the Henan Provincial People's Government, and organized by Zhengzhou University and Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government. A total of 6.19 million projects and 24.43 million participants from 5,673 schools across 161 countries and regions registered for the competition.
