On November 30th, the Graduate Student Union of Nanjing University organized an immersive Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)cultural event at the Jingwen Student Activity Center on XianlinCampus. With expert guidance provided by students from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, over30 international students from 15 countries participated in this activity.

The event was structured into three engaging segments: an introductory seminar, a hands-on cultural fair, and a group wellness session of Ba Duan Jin.
The seminar introduced foundational TCM concepts such as Yin–Yang balance, holistic health, and traditional diagnostic methods. Participants showed keen interest during a live diagnostic demonstration, asking thoughtful questions and interacting with the presenters.
Subsequently, the venue transformed into a vibrant exploration space, featuring four interactive zones. In the Sachet-making zone, participants crafted personalized aromatic sachets using herbs such as mugwort and chrysanthemum. At the Herbal Tea Tasting station, participants brewed and sampled various herbal teas such as rose, goji berry, and cassia seed teas, experiencing firsthand their soothing and rejuvenating effects. At the Auricular Seed Therapy station, participants experienced this unique TCM technique, in which tiny seeds are placed on specific ear points to promote relaxation and balance. Meanwhile, the Handmade Incense Plaque activity engaged students in creating fragrant plaques from herbal blends, combining artistic expression with traditional health practices.

The event concluded with a calming group Ba Duan Jin session. Led by a professional instructor, all participants learned the flowing movements of this classic exercise, widely practiced for its benefits to flexibility and inner calm.

Through direct experience and interactive learning, this event offered international students at NJU an opportunity to experience traditional Chinese medicine culture, fostering a deeper appreciation for China's cultural heritage.
